Thats interesting. I have always heard nightmarish stories of multi month dealership visits for RR problems. Not that I dont do all my own mechanical work, but scan tools for RRs arent in my toolbox.

only issues I have with the RR are high center of gravity, and maintenance....I dont know how reliable they are. The GCs only issue is that it only comes in automatic.

well, a 5mph run in with a 4'deep by 3' wide ditch caused the transfer case to explode, rip off a control arm mount from the axle, seriously twist the frame.... oh and smash the windshield with my head.

well you could always keep or sell the 40's which would get you a nice single crown (totem) and adjust the shock to 8 inch or sell the shock which is brand new this month and put a bit shorter of one which works nice.

If you already have disk's and adapter's Formula brakes can be cheap, they also offer a lot more power than Avid's brakes and the same modulation.

I hate Avid because I got a dud from them, when I asked them for help/advice they just said bleed it. When I bled the brake and it still had problems they just said bleed it and then wouldn't help me anymore, so I put on a goodridge hose and Swissstop organic pad's (the best of the best) and the brake still felt shitty and randomly gives

Anyway, it was once out of literally hundreds of times we went. Smoked him up and sent him on his way. The land owner is fine with it, spoke long ago.

We ran into a forest ranger once, but if you camp where I described its TECHNICALLY on private land, and they cant do shit. If you hike the ridge, and follow the gorge that way it will be the easiest way to find the site, its HUGE, cleared out, and should still at least have a good sized fire pit.

Im glad! There are SOOOO many sick places in NY, just gotta think about em. There arent hikers out there that go all over the place like out here, so you tend to be able to ride in peace too. Id love to see some Hi-tor pics, it was my favorite spot to chill.

nope, its not the resivour thats the problem. but the air valve that comes out of the side of the shock body gets in the way of the frame. and as for remot, idk if theres a place to mount it...

its sick as hell. get one.
the only thig i dont like is that you can't put a dhx air on it. the air valve gets in the way. and because of the virtual link, there is't a chain system for it. other than that the geometry is sick for jumpin around. ive thrashed mine and it keeps rockin.

yeah, you can go up that trail I was talking about, but you dont have to be a pro climber to make it this time of year. Just bring a rope to toss to a buddy if he cant get up one or 2 spots.-

Just make sure to put extra shoes and socks in your pack if you go up the gorge and arent a great rock climber. In spring its extremely difficult to get up, but right now it should be perfect.
